Born in Maia, Susana Santos Godinho is 31 years old and will represent Portugal in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Marathon.
Specialist in the middle distance and long distance, the athlete who represents Recreio Desportivo de Águeda achieved the Olympic minimum in 2023 at the Valencia Marathon with a final time of 2h25m35s. This result made her the eighth fastest Portuguese woman ever in the marathon, behind only names like Rosa Mota, Jéssica Augusto, Salomé Rocha, Sara Moreira, Marisa Barros, Manuela Machado and Dulce Félix.
In addition to being a professional athlete, Susana combines her preparation with her profession as a physiotherapist, further proof of the Maiata's resilience.
